BLAZERS

PISTONS

EDGE

COMMENT

Rodney Stuckey is on another planet right now, the former Eastern Washington stand-out has been playing crazy good ever since Billups left. Apparently the Pistons made the right move. Steve Blake will try his best but Stuckey is just too good.

Despite shooting a poor percentage as of late, Iverson continues to be half point guard during the Piston win streak.  I think he is a tough match-up for Rudy who has been struggling lately.  Hopefully Rudy gets back on track, but he won't be better than AI.

Prince's numbers have been inconsistent this year but recently he's been very efficient and very good.  He is a key piece for the Pistons and part of the reason they are winning.  Batum was a stud on Sunday but I don't know if he can outscore or out defend the guy who he is so often compared to.

LaMarcus had a great game statistically on Sunday and I'm hoping he can build on that against Detroit. Amir Johnson has been filling in at the forward position while Rip Hamilton is out.  He doesn't do much offensively but the team doesn't need him. LA wins here.

Rasheed is coming off of an injury and will probably be a little off in this one. His numbers are also not great anymore anyway. I think he'll be guarding Greg and I expect Oden to build on a solid last few games.  Look for him to pound it inside with smaller opponents coming at him. Greg wins.

BENCH

BENCH

Przybilla is going to have a big impact defensively on this game, his presence will be key.  Travis is coming off a terrible game in LA and  he'll bounce back in the Rose Garden.  Look for some motivated play from our bench considering all the trade talk and Detroit's bench isn't going to do squat.

OVERALL DECISION:

TRAIL BLAZERS

HOPEFULLY ODEN EATS RASHEED FOR LUNCH!

I have that lunchbox and I actually used it when I went to work for a few years. It's a high quality piece of equipment. Tough game tonight. This might sound weird considering it's early January, but this is a MUST win game. If we fall any further back in the standings tonight, it will be more and more difficult to climb back into the playoff picture.

I think this is a loss. Detroit is playing good right now and we're not. Our fantastic win against Boston is losing it's luster now that they've lost back to back games against NY and Charlotte. Prove me wrong Blazers...prove me wrong.

The Blazers will win tonight, we HAVE to. Rudy is going to get on track, Batum is going to play shut down defense, and Oden will get 20 & 10.
It is crucial to learn how to win without Roy. Everyone has to step up.

We don't have to win, this is not a MUST win game. That term is used way too much. I don't think we win this one, I just don't think we have the fire power down the stretch to win tonight. Unfortunately, this also looks like another loss for The Gambler...

O.K. maybe not a MUST win. A "it would be nice to get a victory at home" win.

Ya know...I thought this was a loss but then I started thinking we may actually have a chance tonight. Pistons are due for a loss. BUT THEN I saw the Gambler was taking the Blazers and those thoughts quickly went away.

Another loss and a whole s#$t load of trade talk in the next few days!

Rasheed has been in town for a few days so that means he has been hanging out with his old buddies and getting ripped off of the six footer. Tough game tonight, will take solid efforts from all of our players. We are due for a win and they are due for a loss, lets get back on track! Blazers by 2
